Brother Taylor was born in Chicago, IL, October 26, 1931. Orin graduated from DePaul University with majors in science, physical education, and English and a minor in political science. He was a member of Theta Chapter Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity where he served as secretary and treasurer. On August 4, 1956, he was united in marriage to Peggy Ellen Davis. Orin served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1958 stationed in Germany. He worked for the Chicago Park Systems and was the supervisor for Jackson Park. He also was employed as principal and teacher in various high schools in the Chicago area.
In 1968 he relocated to Racine where he worked at S.C. Johnson Company. Orin was an entrepreneur operating several businesses in Chicago and Racine. Orin taught school in the Racine Unified School District for 25 years. Orin served on the Racine Environmental Committee and on the board of OIC. He enjoyed reading, tropical fish, tennis, golf, baseball, handball, music and Aikido. Above all he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Brother Taylor is buried in Alsip, Illinois |
