Brother Initiates and Friends of Theta Chapter,

The 100th Anniversary of Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. contines. The Celebration began on February 20th and will culminate on August 21st, 2010.  It is our intent, and hopefully yours, to have the grandest celebration for one of the greatest chapters in all of Alpha. As you can see from names of the committee members listed, a significant number of brothers are donating their time and talent, but we still need you.

February 18 -20, 2010, Illinois District Convention: Theta Chapter hosted the Illinois District Convention.

February 21, 2010, "TOAST TO THETA": The 100th Anniversary celeration was held at the Xi Lambda Facility (8236 S. Western Ave, Chicago)

February 27, 2010, Reunion Social: Theta college and alumni brothers gathered for a Reunion Social at the Xi Lambda facility at 8236 S. Western. This event provided brothers with another opportunity to renew old friendships and establish new ones with brothers made in our illustrious Theta Chapter along with brothers who are friends of Theta! 

April 17, 2010, Alpha Prayer Breakfast: Theta Chapter brothers in partnership with Xi Lambda Chapter further celebrate in worship and prayer at our PRAYER BREAKFAST which was held at St. John Baptist Church (4821 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago). Key note Pastor was our very own Jeff Newton '84 (Pastor-Valley Kingdom Ministries International).

June 19, 2009, Golf Outing: IDeal Education Foundation Golf Outing/Theta Chapter Centennial Celebration

Location: Eaglewood Resort & Spa - 1401 Nordic Road, Itasca, Illinois. Everything is included in this exclusive golfing package. This ticket includes Cart, Curb side bag service, 18 hole golf game, Gift bag, Lunch at the turn and a fabulous Awards Dinner. After the Awards Dinner a great social event. August 7, 2010, Theta Picnic: Theta chapter and Xi Lambda chapter brothers and our families will come together and have a picnic!  Location in the Dan Ryan woods on 83rd S. Western across from the Xi Lambda facility.

Saturday, August 21st, 2010, The Gala Dinner Dance: Celebrate Theta's 100th Anniversary in the grandest of Alpha-Style.
